Team MarFirst will be supporting children with autism and disABILITIES by biking from DC to Delaware on July 28th. Company participants will get expenses paid, a bonus day of PTO, and the satisfaction of doing something for a great cause!
Spring Meet Up
Some of the MarFirst crew team got together in May to talk about summer plans, share ideas for this year’s events, and kick off summer in DC. We are looking to do a charity bike ride sometime this summer, Top Golf outing, and in November, the Virginia Marathon events (once again) to benefit Intrepid Fallen Heroes.
Stay tuned and enjoy summer time with family and friends!
MarFirst Gets it Done – Virginia Marathon

MarFirst Fed showed up last Sunday for Old Dominion Racing‘s challenging 2022 Virginia Marathon course – that just kept going up (and down). Everyone finished strong with Sovandaro leading the way to a Men’s 2nd place overall in the 10K, Eric with an age-group 3d in the Marathon, and Mathivanan and Naresh with solid finishes in the 5K. Out on course, our shirts were pretty popular, and we were all proud to donate $1000 to benefit Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund at the end of the day.
Thanks to the employees who signed up for this event – this team gets it done!!!

Charity Event Planned – Intrepid Fallen Heroes

MarFirst Fed gives back to veterans and their families and is supporting the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. This charity focuses on helping United States military personnel experiencing the invisible wounds of war: traumatic brain injury (TBI) and post-traumatic stress (PTS).
MarFirst Fed has entered in various distance events for the Virginia Marathon (that sponsors Intrepid Fallen Heroes) scheduled November 13 in Middleburg Virginia, to include the 26.2 mile marathon and Bull Run mountain as part of the course. MarFirst Fed will make a donation in the name of each company participant – and each MarFirst runner will get two sets of running shoes of their choice (one for training and one for the event) and entry fee.
Check back for updates!
Some Words to Ponder
Beyond hard work and dedication, there is a difference being average and being great. To deliver with speed, agility and innovation, there is no way to be completely comfortable.
If you’ve done it before, then you know you can brake late, sort it all out in the middle of the corner, and come out in front.
